"Pupils behave well. Any instances of poor behaviour are dealt with quickly . Pupils behaviour does not disrupt their learning in class . They know that the consequences for poor behaviour will be applied consistently." Ofsted report 2022
At Walton-le-Dale we expect the highest standards of behaviour. Students attend school to learn and everyone has the right to be given respect and allowed to learn. It is the responsibility of every individual to support the learning of others and help others - WORK HARD, BE NICE !
We also accept that children are children and part of their education is learning how to behave and to mature. Thus when children make mistakes we need to give them opportunities to learn from these mistakes, put things right and accept the consequences of their behaviour.
Our Behaviour for Learning policy can be found on the Policies section of this website (https://www.waltonledale.lancs.sch.uk/parents/policies)
While exclusion from school is rare, the Governors have asked that the following section from the Behaviour Policy be placed directly on the website so that parents/carers and students are well aware of our procedures and the kinds of issues that might lead to fixed-term or permanent exclusion from school.
