This is our anti bullying policy. It also contains some guidance to students and parents. Bullying happens in all schools but at Walton le Dale we treat it very seriously. We believe that it best dealt with at an early stage so it does not escalate; we urge students and parents to keep us informed if there are any issues.

Walton le Dale is proud of its ethos, that we work together to get the best out of each other. This requires us all to support each other. Part of this is to behave sensibly at all times, respect each other and respect the rights of other people to learn and enjoy their education. On behalf of everyone at the school we therefore expect the highest standards of behaviour. This is reflected in the policy. This policy has been updated to reflect recent guidance from the Department for Education and is awaiting final ratification by the Full Governing Body in the Spring term
