Miss Christian, Head of English, writes "Year 9 will have the opportunity to meet author of 'The Disappearance of Timothy Dawson', Nathan Park, on the 24th March. Nathan will deliver a talk to Year 9 students and students will have the opportunity to purchase copies of his book, which has been shortlisted for the Lancashire Book of the Year Award. In addition to this Nathan will hold 2 workshops (with 20 students in each) where he will help students improve their creative writing skills. If students would like to be part of one of the workshops they should see their English teacher for a letter and return the reply slip promptly. This is an exciting opportunity for students to meet with an author and learn about the writing process and how he has used aspects of his own life and experience as a Youth Worker to inspire his characters."
