This week we welcomed SWAP.  SWAP is the School Activity Wellbeing Programme and is being run in partnership with Nuffield Health.  We are thrilled about the fact that we are the first school in the UK outside of the pilot school to run the programme, which puts us in a unique and privileged position. This week the session was delivered to 25 Year 11 students by Paula and Matty from Nuffield Health in Preston and focused on "How I Move" and will be followed in subsequent weeks by "How I eat", "How I sleep" and "How I feel".  The programme will run for 12 weeks and the response so far has been extremely positive.

The aim of the programme is to educate and provide skills to help students to learn good habits that promote a healthier wellbeing.  This is becoming even more essential as our young people grow up in a time of significant change and are experiencing major wellbeing and mental health challenges.

This is a great opportunity for some of our students and hopefully this is just the start of an exciting partnership between Walton-le-Dale High School and Nuffield Health.
