8 December 2017
As usual, our latest enrichment day had a huge variety of activities for the whole school...
Year 7 were developing their Opening Minds work on the Dharavi slums in Mumbai with the "Shanty Town" project - asl them about the shock at the end of the day!
Year 8 were fully engaged in a Languages Day with all kinds of activities - learning Chinese and sign language amongst them;
Year 9 were supporting their Duke of Edinburgh award work by creating items to raise money for charity - followed by a very successful sale the day after;
Year 10 were inspired by an innovative Science day themed around the technologies needed for landing on Mars;
Year 11 faced the interviewers in their mock interview day and then ensured that their college applications were completed and that they were fully prepared for their ongoing mock examinations.
In the midst of all this, we held the annual Santa Dash to raise money for St Catherine's Hospice!
These days add to our broad curriculum, preparing our students with the skills for later life. Thanks to all the staff for their hard work - Enrichment Days would not run without the participation and commitment of everyone.
