Image of "Sacco and Vanzetti" mock trial with Year 9

Miss Hughes has provided some photos of year 9 History students who have been excellent today in our courtroom where they took part in a mock trial.

Miss Hughes says "We have been looking at the case of Sacco and Vanzetti in 1920s America. Students have been looking at evidence from the prosecution and defence and recognised how this was a clear miscarriage of justice.  We have also used this as a way into looking at the legal system and roles within it in the UK and making comparisons."

The photos are of Judge Reece Price and Prosecution lawyers Freddie Berry and Annalise Robinson.  Defence lawyer Casper Sloan especially needs mentioning and has to have a career in law he was amazing during the trial! Defendants were Aaron Hill and Ethan Scott

Our verdict on the case in 2017 was unanimous - NOT GUILTY!"
