On Wednesday (12 October) Walton-le-Dale's Year 10 team took on Academy@Worden. Oliver Tiffin (Year 10) writes....
"Walton-le-Dale vs Worden High kicks off the first game of the year 10 season. Worden looking on top in the first 15 minutes and their striker makes the score 1-0 Worden. Walton begin to get more involved in the game and win a free kick 30 yards out. Kai Lynn bags his first goal of the season with a stunning set piece strike! This brings the game to 1-1 at half time. The second half starts and Walton create some fantastic chances resulting in 2 goal line clearances! Unfortunately, Worden make the score 2-1 with a through ball to the striker. Walton creating chance after chance but just couldn't finish. Worden make the score 3-1 with a mistake from Walton's defence and that concludes Walton-le-Dale's first game of the season."
