It was lovely to see Mrs Heywood-Connor and Walton-le-Dale referred to in a recent article in Big Issue North about Kadiff Kirwan. As the article says "Kirwan discovered his passion for acting in a school production of Bugsy Malone. A teacher, Mrs Pamela Heywood-Connor, who still teaches at Walton-le-Dale High School, he says - spotted his potential, urging him to go to drama class after school and to take is as GCSE. 'Eventually I realised this is absolutely what I'm supposed to be doing'."
Congratulations to Kadiff on his success and to Mrs Heywood-Connor on the well-deserved recognition.
