Mrs Miller writes "On Wednesday Year 11 GCSE Art students were lucky enough to attend a day of photography workshops at Blackpool and The Fylde College to support their portfolio work and their externally set assignment which will be issued in January. They started the day with a presentation of basic photographic skills and a comprehensive guide to lighting in a studio setting. Students then got behind the cameras to take their own photographs in response to the presentation. The afternoon was then spent in the dark room making photograms, and using the different chemicals to develop and fix their own images.
An inspiring and highly beneficial day for our students and the start of a positive relationship between Walton-le-Dale High School and Blackpool and The Fylde College."
