The whole community at Walton-le-Dale High School are celebrating excellent results from this year's GCSE students.  The school is well known for its support and care for its learners and its inclusive and child-centred ethos. This year it is celebrating exceptional results from many students who have achieved remarkable numbers of the highest grade 9 across many subjects.  Outstanding exam performance at the highest level has come from students such as the Head Girl and Head Boy, Hannah Bateman and Matthew Winstone together with Rebecca Usher, Benjamin Broughton, Benjamin Burgess, Jack Sparling, Katie Rushe, Lucy Russell, Laura Yates, Luke Ackerley, Daisy Blackmore, Rebecca Usher and Emily Sutcliffe.

Headteacher James Harris said "We are a school community which celebrates the individual achievements of each and every one of our students, whatever their ability.  This year, however, we are especially proud of the achievements of our most able students, thanks to great teaching, an excellent attitude to learning and sheer hard work.  Well done to all our leavers and I wish them every success in the next stage of their lives."
