Mrs Sweeney writes "Once again we were fortunate to take our Quicksticks Hockey leaders to the Lancashire School Games with the addition of 5 Media leaders who had been trained recently by Rock FM. We had an early start but everyone was excited and looking forward to the day ahead in Blackpool for the Lancashire School Games 2019.
Fortunately the sun was shining, perfect conditions for umpiring hockey matches and for interviewing VIP’s and leaders around the park. Our hockey leaders conducted themselves with commitment and integrity. They were composed and resilient in some challenging situations. They umpired extremely well and we’re an absolute credit to Walton le Dale. As their sports leader journey draws to an end I am immensely proud of how they have grown and developed as young leaders, taking skills away with them that will last a lifetime."
