This year's DofE students have been out on practice expeditions in the Trough of Bowland up near Abbeystead and Scorton over the last 2 weekends. The groups all battled with some terrible wet weather but showed excellent resilience and focused well developing their navigating skills despite the rain. Back at camp the staff were pleased to see groups working as teams, erecting tents and cooking. Mrs McClelland said "Its been great spending the weekends with the students, they are wonderful company and I had great fun. Many people who we saw when walking commented on how well behaved our students were and thought it was great what Duke of Edinburgh does for young people. I felt very proud."
