Mrs Heywood-Connor reports that "37 Students from year 7-10 went to see the all- time classic musical “West Side Story” composed by Leonard Bernstein, lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, at the Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester on the 16th May.
This was the first time the musical had been staged in the round and the students were treated to a wonderful example of live theatre at its best. Fabulous performances of acting, singing and dancing combined with a magnificent orchestra, set and technical wizardry that makes visiting this theatre a special experience for students and one they will never forget.
We had a wonderful time and I know students, especially the cast of “ We Will Rock You” were inspired by what they saw."
