On Thursday 12th and Friday 13th July, a lucky group of Year 10 students took part in an Engineering Club at Training 2000 in Blackburn. The six girls and six boys learned how computer programming is essential to engineering. Using professional software, the students successfully wrote ladder logic to control PLCs for various tasks. During a site tour, students were even allowed to control state-of-the-art precision measuring equipment.

One of the students commented “I really enjoyed seeing the programming I wrote actually working the PLC.” and as another of our students put it - “It was so satisfying when we succeeded with the more difficult challenges.”
