Thank you so much to all the parents and students who supported last night's Summer Sounds. Walton Le Dale's answer to Glastonbury really rocked us, and I was immensely proud to be the Headteacher of such a vibrant community. Every single student involved did themselves proud and many brought tears to our eyes. There was something for everyone on the set list and it took all my restraint to remain seating rather than dancing in the isles at points.
Year 10 had their Taster Day in Runshaw this week and the feedback from the day was very positive. Runshaw College commented on the high standards of behaviour and engagement from our students. Following this they had a visit from Leyland Playscheme, encouraging students to volunteer for a week over the summer holidays. This is an excellent opportunity to gain leadership and other transferable skills and a fun way to meet new people. Details are on the link for those who did not take a flyer on the day.
Important information relating to our exciting Reading and Phonics programmes to begin in September are attached to a link below.
