2 January 2023
Happy New Year! I hope that you have managed to have a break over the Christmas and New Year period. We are looking forward to the start of the new term on Tuesday. A few practical notices follow - please note a focus on correct uniform at the start of the new term. As I said in December we will also be continuing our work to ensure all students learn outside lessons (what we conventionally call "homework") - this is essential for their academic success.
All years
- School Spring Term Opening: Reminder that school will reopen on Tuesday, 3rd January 2023 at the usual time following the Christmas Break.
- Uniform: Reminder that as we start a new term, all uniform must be correct - all ties are now back in stock; no hoodies - students should either be in a school jumper and/or coat; no trainers. Nothing new in this - it just needs to be correct, please!
Years, 7, 8 and 9
- Nasal Flu Vaccinations: This will take place in school on Tuesday 24th January - please see message sent out on Monday 12th December with the link to the online consent form. The closing date for completing this is Tuesday 17th January.
Year 11
- Progress Evening: This will be an in-person event and will take place on Wednesday, 18th January in D block from 4.30pm. Students will receive their mock examination grades at this event. We use an online system for booking appointments - teacher appointments must be booked via Schoolcloud; please see the link here for the letter and further information.
Happy New Year!
Best wishes
