We are looking forward to welcoming everyone back on Tuesday morning at the normal time.  I hope that everyone is enjoying the beautiful weather - remarkable for a Bank Holiday.  It has been a busy couple of weeks for many - Year 11 in particular who are into the GCSE season immediately (Art this week, French speaking next week then everyone gets underway on May 14th with Biology).  Year 10 also have examinations in some subjects in the next few weeks (starting on 7th May).  Many thanks to staff who came in over the break and organised revision sessions - there will be more to follow during May half-term as appropriate.  Thanks also to those staff who took international trips away over the last couple of weeks - have a look at the reports and pictures from the ski trip to Austria here and from China here.

On a much more mundane level we are carrying out a basic equipment check this week as we are finding that some students are arriving each day without even a pen. We are not preparing them for life, never mind GCSE examinations, if we do not insist on some basic preparation for learning.   Many thanks for your support with this.

Year 11 Revision plan:  This week is "Week 9" (of 11) - if you are the parent or carer of a Year 11 please make sure that they are using the plan (https://www.waltonledale.lancs.sch.uk/curriculum/revision).  GCSE's are getting very close indeed!

Upcoming events - please keep an eye on the calendar

Our WLD Career of the Week is "Arboriculture Officer".  Our Thought for the Week is "Resilience"

Have a good week ...
