Good afternoon,

After a long period where we have had almost no cases of COVID in our school population we have had a couple of days during which two year 7 students and 5 year 8 students have reported positive COVID tests.  This has meant that we have had to carry out contact tracing as required by Public Health England and we have therefore sent home over 140 students today in addition to more than 40 yesterday.  You will receive an email from us this evening if your son or daughter is required to self-isolate and to what date - the dates vary because they depend upon when your son or daughter was considered to be contact with the relevant individual.

All work will be available online in the usual way (on Teams) and students should follow the normal pattern of the school day.  Teachers will still be teaching some students physically so interaction will not usually be "live" although teachers will respond to requests for assistance via chat as and when they can.

Best wishes to everyone at this challenging time....
