Good afternoon,
A small number of practical updates this week:
Year 10: Preston's College Taster Day on 21st June has been cancelled by Preston's College due to the recently increased COVID risk;
Year 10: Exams in most subjects will be during the couple of weeks before work experience, Art exams will take place Monday, 21st June for students in 10B/Ar1 group and Friday, 25th June for students in 10A/Ar1 group. We will issue the precise exam timetable early next week and all teachers are talking to their groups about what to revise. These will be formal externally invigilated examinations in the Sports Hall.
ASPIRE day: There will be an ASPIRE day on Monday 28th June for Years 7 to 10. These days allow year groups to work on aspects of the wider curriculum - careers, relationships education, PSHE... and are always very valuable. The normal timetable is suspended for the day.
Year 8: HPV Vaccines will be taking place in school on Tuesday 22nd June.
COVID safety: Thank you for continuing to ensure that your son or daughter has a face mask and spare, a pack of wipes and all their own equipment. Thank you for continuing to test your son or daughter twice per week so that we do not have COVID cases in school.
