11 May 2021
Good morning,
Following the guidance received this morning and the announcement yesterday afternoon I am pleased to say that our rule on face coverings in school will revert to students being able to wear them if they wish. They will no longer be compulsory. This will take effect, in line with the government guidance, from next Monday (17th May). Face coverings remain compulsory this week.
Please note, however, that the rules on transport have not changed. This means that students must continue to wear face coverings on buses as they do now, unless exempt.
In line with national guidance, all other safety measures including keeping year groups apart ("bubbles"), additional cleaning and hygiene remain in place.
Best wishes
