I know from experience that half-term is not a break for parents & carers so I hope that you have managed to have a some positive time over the last few days.  We look forward to seeing everyone back at the normal time tomorrow (Monday).

Year 11 revision:  It is the time of the school year when the focus is really on our Year 11s in the run-up to their GCSEs.  As parents and carers of Year 11 know, our staff create a complete revision guide which breaks all the subjects down into manageable revision chunks for each day over the coming 11 weeks.  We will email out copies of the revision plan, but it can also be found on the website here.  Year 11s should make sure that they are following the plan, 2 subjects per night, from tomorrow (Monday).

Curriculum:  This year we have started to publish our curriculum on the website each half-term so that you can see exactly what our students are studying.  For the coming half-term the information is here

All the usual things for the start of the new half-term:  Correct shoes, uniform, PE kit, no piercings, no hoodies, positive attitude to classwork and homework.... none of this is new and none of it changes!  Thanks for your support in these basics of school life.

League tables: Many thanks to everyone who has responded so positively to the article that I wrote on "League Tables".  If you haven't had a chance to read it see if you can find a moment to do so.  If you have a chance to share it by social media or within any networks that you belong to please feel free to do so.

It is busy week, as always - for example Year 11 have their GCSE Food examination on Wednesday and Year 9 need to submit their options choices to Mrs Wall by Friday.  The most important thing, though, is that everyone gets on with high quality teaching and learning - that is what we are here for.

Have a very good week!
