On Friday Year 6s and their families found out which secondary school they are going to and we found out the names and addresses of our new Year 7s. I am delighted to say that we are, once again, full in Year 7 and I am very much looking forward to welcoming our newest year group. We have set up a new area of the website for them and we will be adding information, help and guidance as we move towards September.
Some regular updates:
- Great attitude: Our Year 8 football team played Balshaws in a league and cup double this week and won, which was great. More to the point, though, was the respect and attitude that the players showed to one of their own who has suffered a sudden bereavement. Sport, and Walton-le-Dale, at its best.
- Amazing writing: One of the pleasures of my job is celebrating examples of outstanding work of all kinds and this week I was sent an outstanding piece of writing created by Charlotte Cirino entitled "A Childhood Lost" - have a read at the link here and see what you think....
